Welcome to Salt Therapy Stand Up Paddle Boarding

Salt Therapy offers beginner lessons to those new to stand up paddle boarding as well as programs for those wanting to progress their paddling with more advanced techniques, safety and other tips & tricks to ensure you have a great paddle experience.  We also offer a range of social paddle outings and partner with other fitness providers for a variety of paddle fitness activites.

Social Sup

Salt Therapy offers social paddles for new and experienced paddlers wanting to enjoy a relaxing time on the water with other passionate paddlers (who aren’t elite athletes or wannabes!)

Our annual membership provides you with access to our private Facebook group where you’ll hear about all our lessons, group activities and social paddles, as well as regular posts on safety, weather conditions, SUP tips and tricks and more.

New booking can be made by emailing andrea@salttherapy.nz or on mobile 021 880 018.  Once part of the membership group, bookings into lessons and events will be done through the Salt Therapy Facebook group.

Event Times

Lessons and social paddles can be booked most weekends but are subject to weather conditions and tides.  Please contact us for details.

To experience all that Auckland has to offer we try to get out and about.  Regular paddle spots include Torbay, Little Shoal Bay, Herald Island and Hobsonville Point.  We are always looking for new destinations so share with us your secret paddle spots.

Health & Safety

Your safety is our upmost importance.  All lessons and social events start with a Health & Safety review of our surrounds and checking of equipment.

It's a simple rule - we will not paddle in poor conditions.  As a result some events may be cancelled to due weather conditions - wind and big waves are not our friends!

All paddlers must be able to swim and must wear safety equipment at all times.

Your Coach

Andrea’s passion for paddle boarding started 2014 when she had lessons and joined a regular group.  In early 2018 Andrea trained as a Flat Water Coach with the ISA, Surfing NZ & NZ Sup (registration number 18038).  Andrea also holds a current Work Place First Aid Certificate.

Boards come in all shaps and sizes and it is recommended that you try before you buy.  Salt Therapy recommends Agenda paddle boards for their quality, durability and fit for purpose functionality.  Speak to Andrea for more information on Agenda boards and pricing.
